Maybe this is why I’m not such a good blogger. I just can’t build up enough righteous outrage over something that is a rumor. Especially if the rumor was started by John Heyman.

This morning Heyman tweeted that the Pirates are looking to offer free agent catcher Russell Martin a three year contract. I think that we can all agree that if the Pirates do sign him to a three year contract it will be a bad deal. However the virtual gnashing of teeth and the running in circles about a deal that didn’t happen yet is a complete waste of time! I know that it is the off season and things are a bit slow for the bloggers but lets take it easy here folks. If and when the deal does happen then we can grab the pitchforks and torches and look to get the head of Neil Huntington.
